Celebration Headlines
October 2010
To bring the centennial year to a close, in October 2010, there will be a dinner for Club 13 Rotarians and their spouses.

May 20, 2010
A long, rich tradition of Rotary Service began on May 15, 1910, with the organization of the Rotary Club of Kansas City, Missouri, and by 1916 led to organization of the Rotary Club of Kansas City, Kansas. Through the years, the Rotary family tree that began in Kansas City in 1910 grew to over 80 Rotary Clubs in Missouri and Kansas. This milestone date is an opportunity to celebrate the tradition of community leadership and service and the outreach into Rotary International projects. All Rotary Clubs in Greater Kansas City play a part in this history and are invited to join the celebration on May 20, 2010.
Welcome to our Centennial Celebration
Rotary Club 13 was organized May 15, 1910 and will be celebrating its Centennial through the calendar year 2010. Club 13 has a rich and long tradition of community leadership and service as well as outreach into Rotary International projects and in order to recognize the many people, events and projects, the Centennial Celebration will be a series of activities throughout the year.
Official Centennial Photo
While many Rotarians took interesting pictures at the Centennial luncheon, the Official Photo of the Club 13 Centennial is the outstanding group photo taken by Rotarian Jerry Crabtree. This historic photo will be seen in publications for decades. For a light hearted comparison, pictured below is a photo taken in front of Union Station at the Rotary International Convention in 1917. Jerry also took an excellent photo of the Club 13 Past Presidents and has made both photos available to Rotarians. They can be purchased by contacting Janet in the Rotary Office at a cost of $25 for an 8x10, $45 for an 11x14, and $75 for a 16x20. Jerry will generously donate 25% of the cost of each photo to the Rotary Youth Camp. Click HERE for more information.
